Tiramisu = Ti ra mi sù (tee-rah-mee-so͞o, with the accent grave over U. In Italy the people spell tiramisù with an accent on the u, and not tiraMIsu. The translation of Tiramisu is pick me up, to mean an energy booster, due to its reputed aphrodisiac powers and its restorative and nutritious properties!! So Tiramisu is a perfect dessert for Valentine's Day.
